SESSION 1 – INTRODUCTION (March 14)

  • Introduction to CAE, FEA and COMSOL Multiphysics
  • Context and objectives
  • Basic examples

 

SESSION 2 – MULTIPHYSICS MATHEMATICAL MODELING (Preanalysis) (March 15)

  • Elements of the mathematical model: geometry, governing equations, material properties, initial and boundary conditions, others.
  • Abstraction of models from literature

 

SESSION 3 – FEA with COMSOL Multiphysics (March 16)

  • Implementation and simulation of mathematical models in COMSOL Multiphysics: pre-processing, processing and post-processing
  • Introduction to verification of results
  • Introduction to creating applications

 

SESSION 4 – WORKSHOP (March 17)

  • Mathematical model abstraction of student interest
  • Start of implementation and simulation in COMSOL Multiphysics

Skills to Develop

  • Management of the interface and workflow of Comsol Multiphysics®.
  • Approach of multiphysics mathematical models from what is recorded in the literature.
  • Creation of basic applications Comsol Application Builder.
  • Model validation strategies such as convergence and sensitivity analysis.

Classroom & Meets
